About Me

My name is Jess (she/her). I am a tattoo artist in Toronto, Canada. I began as an apprentice in my first shop 5 years ago. I have officially been tattooing for just over 4 years.

A lot of my inspiration comes from my own personal struggles with depression & anxiety. From a young age, I used art as a coping mechanism. I began to notice that I was most intrigued by all things dark, all things gloomy. Perhaps as a reflection of my own inner landscape, it was a natural energy I put into my art. Hence, Jessica Gloom.

The passion I have for my craft means that I devote every ounce into working alongside my clients to create the perfect design &, ultimately, executing a beautiful tattoo.

I always feel honoured when individuals trust me with their skin. In many ways, I look at getting a tattoo & providing a tattoo as a form of therapy. Every session is set with the intention of providing a space that respects & honours the client before me. Being in such close proximity to clients during a session, it is common for us to dive deep, getting to know one another. Being able to form connections & wholesome relationships with others while doing what I love brings me so much joy.
